Cancellation Policy

To all of our friends and clients, we want to share a policy change here at Bright Veterinary Clinic and Dearborn County Animal Clinic so you are not surprised when making your next appointment.

Sometimes, you have to miss an appointment, and we understand that. However, when several clients do this in the same day or the same week, we at the clinic have to scramble to reschedule other patients and our staffing, which costs us time and resource effort, as well as impact our capacity to respond to true emergencies with other patients. Due to the frequency of these unexpected cancellations, we are implementing a change in our billing procedures starting November 1, 2021. If you cancel a regular appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice or a surgical appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice, we will apply a $50 cancellation fee to your account that will be mailed out and will need to be cleared/paid in full before your next appointment can be scheduled. We are hoping this change will cut down on the number of last-minute cancellations and stabilize our dynamic schedule to help our staff serve you better.
